Along with this advancement in technology, politics, the arts, and many other aspects of life, changed as well. In the latter half of the Revolution, the Second Industrial Revolution began.
The Second Industrial Revolution saw a greater advancement in technology, especially in America. The United States started developing a multitude of revolutionary inventions, such as Henry Ford’s automobile or Thomas Edison’s light bulb. The Second Industrial Revolution also brought about the Progressive Era in politics.
This mass output of new technology was troublesome for the fact that it was happening too fast and many technological devices and ideas were going unnoticed. To help solve this dilemma, many countries began attending the World’s Fair. The World’s Fair is periodic expo held in different countries around the world. Between the mid-19thcentury and the early 20th century, the World’s Fair was used to show off new technology and scientific ideas. Multiple countries met and there and famous scientist, people of the arts, and politicians were able to share their ideas with others in their field.
